Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 4, 2026
MAVERICK Marketing and Business Development, Israel (“MAVERICK”, the “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the website aovio.maverick-biz.com (the “Website”) and through the Aovio app for Shopify (the “App”), why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
You are not required by law to give us personal information, but some parts of the Services cannot work without it. By using the Website or the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
This policy is written to meet the privacy laws that apply to us, including the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981 and its regulations, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR.
1. What is personal information?
Personal information is any information about an identified or identifiable person, including information protected under the privacy laws above.
2. Information we collect
On the Website
- Store address: when you use the install form, you enter your store’s myshopify.com address, which is used to send you to Shopify to install the App.
- Consent choice: the cookie banner stores your choice in a cookie in your browser, and our consent provider keeps a record of it (an ID, the date and the level you chose).
- Technical information: like most websites, our servers receive technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you open. It is used to run and secure the Website.
In the App (store owners and staff)
- Store details: your store’s address, currency and app settings.
- Sign-in details from Shopify: when you open the App, Shopify passes us the details of the signed-in staff member, which may include name, email address and language.
- Offer content: the bundles, upsells, gifts and other offers you set up, including the product titles, images and prices they use.
- Performance data: offer views, clicks, add-to-carts and the order numbers and amounts of orders that included an offer, used for your analytics.
- Error reports: technical error messages from the App’s pages, used to fix problems.
In your store (your customers)
The App does not collect or store your customers’ names, email addresses, phone numbers or addresses. To choose which offers to show, the shopper’s browser sends our servers the product and cart on the page, whether the shopper is signed in and, where a store targets offers by customer tag, that shopper’s tags; these are used to answer the request and are not stored. To run A/B tests, the browser also sends a random anonymous ID, which lasts for the browser session (session storage) and stays between visits (local storage) only where the shopper’s privacy choices allow analytics. Short-lived settings such as countdown timers are kept in session storage.
3. Why we use it
- to provide, operate and maintain the Website and the App;
- to show you your offers’ performance;
- to answer your questions and give support;
- to fix errors, keep the Services secure and prevent misuse;
- to improve the Services;
- to comply with the law.
Under the GDPR, we rely on the performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in running and securing the Services, your consent (for optional cookies), and our legal obligations.
4. Sharing information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as described here:
- with service providers who help us run the Services, such as our hosting provider (Hostinger, servers in Germany), Shopify, our cookie consent provider (Hu-manity) and our accessibility tool (UserWay);
- when required by law, a court order or a government authority;
- to protect our rights, or to prevent damage or fraud;
- as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business, under the same protections.
Some providers process information outside your country. Where this happens, we rely on the protections required by law, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
- Consent cookie (hu-consent): remembers your cookie choice for up to one year. Provided by Hu-manity (privacy policy).
- Accessibility tool: UserWay stores your accessibility settings in your browser and may use its own cookies (privacy policy).
- The Website does not use advertising cookies, and we do not use Google Analytics or Facebook tracking.
You can change your choice at any time from the cookie icon at the bottom of the page, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
6. Keeping and deleting information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. When a store uninstalls the App, all of its data (settings, offers, analytics and sign-in sessions) is deleted from our database. We also act on Shopify’s data deletion requests. Order numbers stored with performance data are removed 12 months after the order; the totals stay until the store uninstalls the App.
7. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Order numbers and Shopify access tokens are encrypted when stored. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw your consent at any time. To use these rights, contact us using the details below. You may also complain to your local data protection authority; in Israel, this is the Privacy Protection Authority.
9. Children
The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information about children under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on the Website with its update date.
11. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts in Petah Tikva or Kfar Saba (Central District, Israel) have jurisdiction, subject to the rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
